A guide to voting on May 3rd: Part 2

What will the ballot papers look like? What colour will they be? This BBC page shows what the ballot papers will look like (and in their true and their colours):

  • The brown (peach) side is to elect your regional (Lothian) MSPs. You must mark only a single cross against your preferred candidate
  • The lilac side is to elect your constituency MSP (either Edinburgh South or Edinburgh Central, depending on where your home is). Again a single cross is required
  • The white ballot paper is to elect the four councillors for the Southside/Newington ward. You mark your first choice 1, your second choice 2, your third choice 3, and so on
