Mark Wright's Newington parents speak

Bobby and Gem Wright, parents of Mark, a soldier who died in Afghanistan - and was awarded the George Cross medal posthumously last year, have spoken about their son and their grief. Bobby and Gem, who live in Newington, are the subject of the front page lead in today's Evening News. Edinburgh Council is proposing a memorial recognising the courage and sacrifice of Mark.
