Skatepark for Saughton?

The Edinburgh Evening News reports that plans for the city's first major skatepark are to be brought before the council with a view to its opening in Saughton Park next summer.

Readers will remember that the Meadows was initially considered as a possible site for the park, along with Inverleith Park, before those proposals were abandoned. For more info on the park, click here, although the site does not seem to have been updated in some time.
