Craigmillar Park School to unveil plans

The Royal Blind School in Craigmillar Park is ready to unveil plans for their development over the next few years. It is expected there will be a planning application lodged around the end of November and they are looking towards Phase 1 of their upgrade to the campus to begin in the summer of 2010.

Last night they presented the plans to some local residents and Community Council representatives showing a model of the proposals.

Phase 1 is to address their top priority - to provide an accommodation block on the west side of the site - enabling them to release several accommodation properties elsewhere. Phase 1 is planned to last until the end of summer 2011, followed (resources permitting) by phases which will upgrade and relocate the swimming pool and the Scottish Braille Press building.
