A tale of two marches (continued)

At the end of January this newblog reported on the expectation of two events in Edinburgh; the threatened visit by the Scottish Defence League which seems to be a ragged mix of anti-islamists, BNP and football casuals, and a counter demonstration by Unite Against Fascism. The latter, I suggested, is part of the problem.

Unite Against Fascism have applied for and been granted permission to march. No such application has been made by the SDL. The Evening News have picked up my comments in an article a couple of days ago.

At least there has been little additional flyposting since the last post. Such is one advantage of Facebook and other online organising tools!
