Dalkeith Road roadworks update

Just under two weeks ago I reported the expectation (not quite a promise!) that the temporary traffic lights controlling roadworks in Dalkeith Road at Prestonfield Avenue were likely to be removed around Good Friday last week.

I am told there have been a number of setbacks - all to do with getting assurances that the gas main had been properly and safely installed. The latest projection for completion of the road way part of the work is this coming week-end or early next week.

It is very frustration for everyone but I suppose this is a case where getting it right at this stage is important.
Update 9.4.10: I am told the road is expected to be resurfaced on Monday (12th) with it being opened in time for the evening rushhour.
