Festival Theatre extension approved

Currently playing at the Festival Theatre

The Festival Theatre is to have a new rehearsal area built at the rear of the current building.  This is intended to turn it from a theatre which receives shows into one which commissions and develops.

In order to develop finance the development student flats will also be built on the ground at the rear.

Permission for both was granted at the Planning Committee this morning.  The planning application can be found here.
