Local New Year's honours

Local resident Donald MacRae

Here are some of those who have been awarded New Year honours and who live in or are connected with the ward:

• Professor Donald MacRae, OBE for services to enterprise and rural development in Scotland
• Graham Bell, QC, OBE for services to the legal profession in Scotland.  He was a member of the Scottish Criminal Cases Review Commission which referred the Lockerbie bomber case to the High Court for review.
