Last night the BBC weather page for Edinburgh showed 9 hours of 'heavy snow' from 6am.  

They have now (above) adjusted that to 3 hours from 9am with 'light snow' in the 6-9am slot and also in the 12noon to 3pm period.  You can watch the changes here.
