Crags update

Salisbury Crags
Closing date for bids for tenancy of the Crags Sports Centre is today.

The Council is testing the interest by offering the premises to a not-for-profit body who can show a viable business plan which offers some element of community use.  The premises may be offered for a nominal annual rent.

The initial advert attracted 12 expressions of interest from 11 organisations and today is the deadline for submission of business plans and sample programmes.   There will be a local community representative (Morag Innes) who sits on the selection panel as an observer.

More background information can be found in this report to next week's Culture and Leisure Committee of the Council.

Update: The Crags is currently being used for election trainning and counting of postal votes.
