Force Edinburgh are Silverstone bound

James Tuchel - team director
A team of Edinburgh University mechanical engineering students have set up a team to enter a student car 'design and race' competition at Silverstone.

Starting from scratch they are designing a formula racing car to race against student entries from all over the world in the Formula Student event later this year.

The team, Force Edinburgh Racing, is led by 3rd year mechanical engineering student  James Tuchel and is based at the King's Buildings and sponsored by Shell and the University.  More here.

James has previous form for designing cars.
