If your child is five years old before 28 February 2013 you can register them for a primary school place at one of the Edinburgh Council schools. Registration in starts on Monday 14 November and your catchment school will be able to tell you when they are registering pupils.
And while we are on the subject letters will be issued by pupil post from mid-November to parents of primary seven pupils who are attending a council primary school. This will confirm the secondary school serving your home address. No action is needed unless you want to send your child to a different school. A non catchment placing request will have to be completed and will be available from your primary school from 14 November.
