Planning for Edinburgh's future

Every 5 years the Council is required to create a local development plan.  This provides a framework for planning decisions in the coming years e.g. how housing will be encouraged and how the green belt will be preserved.

There is a public meeting to discuss the issues and enable people of Southside & Newington (and elsewhere) to contribute to the public consultation - which is open until the end of January.  The meeting is on Tuesday 17th January at 548 Gilmerton Road (Faith Mission) and there will be a short presentation at 5pm (repeated at 6pm followed by discussion between 7 and 8pm.  There will be planning officers in attendance and details of how to contribute your views to the consultation.
