More barbecue sites on Meadows

15 more barbecue sites are in process of being laid in the Meadows and Bruntsfield Links.

This follows a period of extensive discussion and consultation.  The Edinburgh People Survey,  interviews a representative sample of 5,000 residents.  Of the 232 residents of the South Central area interviewed 82% wanted 'more facilities and better information to help people barbecue safely in the Meadows and Bruntsfield Links'.  A similar percentage of respondents who said they used the Meadows supported the same objective.
