Meadows in the sun

A constituent contacted me last week to note how good the Meadows are looking at the moment.  Certainly the park has been well used with the sunny weather attracting tens of thousands of people every day.

In particular, he had noted that the ground had been scarified and, this month alone, the grass had been cut several times. I am happy to agree and note his appreciation of the Parks staff who have done a good job.

In addition, early morning litter clearance has been effective.  Last night the litter scattered around was a mess -  but by 8am this morning it had been cleared.  Good job.

Not all is sweetness and light, though, as this report of an alcohol fuelled assault recounts.
