The four candidates returned to represent  Southside & Newington are:

• Cllr Steve Burgess - Green
• Cllr Jim Orr - SNP
• Cllr Ian Perry - Labour
• Cllr Cameron Rose - Conservative

This is one change from the last election five years ago - SNP Jim Orr replaces Lib Dem Gordon Mackenzie (of whom more in a subsequent post).
