Summer: a time to smarten our schools

All sorts of things come across my desk and I share them as appropriate.

The opportunity is being taken to do a bit of decoration and remedial work in some of our schools:

• Preston Street Primary - four new WC cubicles
• Prestonfield Primary - roof works
• Sciennes Primary - internal redecoration
• St Crispin's School - Phase 2 of the Wave 3 works

Lift replacement works are also getting underway at South Side Community Centre.
