Skimming in Clerk Street

Clerk Street is one of streets where skimming equipment has been found by police at cash machines.  Thieves insert equipment which can copy credit card details- possibly associated with a camera to record the input of a pin number, resulting in the ability to use the stolen card details fraudulently.

Here is the police media release and here is a report of similar frauds in Fife.

The incidents traced took place in April and May.
