Edinburgh's next Makar

A local resident, Christine De Luca, has been nominated to be Edinburgh's new Makar. Originally from Shetland, she has now lived in Edinburgh for 50 years. She embraces the fact that both Edinburgh and Shetland have had an impact on her life, and hopes to reflect this in her work. If her nomination is approved next week, she will be succeeding Ron Butlin as the new Makar.
