Witnesses requested for assault in Richmond Place

Police in Edinburgh are appealing for information following an assault and robbery in Richmond Place yesterday (Wednesday 14th October.
The incident happened around 10:40pm when a 42 year old woman was approached by two men. She was punched to the face and her laptop and handbag stolen. The suspects are described as Mediterranean or French Algerian in appearance and French speakers.
The first suspect is described as being in his 20s, around 5'9" tall and of slim build with a tanned complexion and short dark hair, shaved at the side and slightly longer on top. He had designer type stubble and a goatee beard. He was wearing a black jacket, dark trousers, possibly jeans and dark shoes.
The second culprit is around 5'7 or 8", of a heavy build and with a tanned complexion and stubble. He is in his 20's or 30's with black hair, also shaved at the sides and slightly longer on top.
Both men left the scene in the direction of the car park at the rear of Lidl's or the Kenneth McKenzie Building.
Officers are now urging anyone who can assist with their enquiries to come firward
