Council pull back from imposing further parking controls

The Administration of Edinburgh Council has delayed a decision on extending parking controls in the central area of the city (including much of the Southside area).

A decision was due to be made at the January meeting of the Transport and Environment Committee.  The controversial decision has now been delayed until March.

Proposals included extending parking controls up to 9pm and on Sundays as well.  There has been a very large response from businesses and churches who would be particularly affected by the proposals.

Glad to learn that this ridiculous proposal has been postponed. BTW, there are 3 spelling mistakes in this short announcement, so I suggest proof-reading before future postings :) Thanks
