Cameron House Crisis referred to John Swinney

For those following the shambles of the way Edinburgh Council has treated a whistleblower and investigated the disappearance of £400k, the matter is being taken up in Holyrood by Jim Eadie MSP.

The core story took place in the years after 2002.  But the ramifications have been going on ever since.   The extraordinary events - a whistle blower who appears to have been persecuted and disciplined, a catalogue of mismanagement in the design, build and maintenance of Cameron House Community Centre and much, much more, - all speak to significant parts of the Education Department as being at best dysfunctional.  The recent case of the treatment of an autistic child in the school system and the scandals associated with Castlebrae Community High School appears to be evidence of that.
