Getting consultation right

Earlier this week I posted (here and here) on the Skelf Bike Park project and, particularly, those who missed the publicity and consultation before the project got the go ahead.

Today, there is a thoughtful piece in the Evening News by Gina Davidson laying out some of the facts and circumstances - and focusing on the issue of consultation.  It is worth a look - particularly as it includes some of the facts which have been less visible in the lively debate that has developed.

The article is here.

It is interesting to add that the person leading the project for a bike park is also a local resident.

I note there is a Facebook page by those who oppose the project.  (Thanks are due for including a picture of me at the top of the page).  There is also the Skelf Facebook page and there are several support pages as well.
