Drunk hit and run driver sentenced

In July 2015  a car was driven into the two cafes at the top of Marchmont Road at 3:40am on a Tuesday morning.  There was a casualty - pedestrian Adam Ridley, a student - who was carried on the bonnet of the car into the shop fronts suffering severe injuries.  These posts refer here and here.

The drunk driver was Julian Fogerty who has now been sentenced to community service and banned from driving for 27 months.   Details here.
