What's happening with the long derelict site in Prestonfield Avenue?

Near the foot of Prestonfield Avenue is a site (No 67) - just down from and opposite the Cameron House Community Centre which has lain derelict for many years.

Three years ago planning permission was obtained for three flats and three maisonettes by C & L Properties Ltd. The planning application reference is 08/01644/FUL and you can see details of the granted application here, using the application number.

Planning permission only lasts for three years.  Just as the three year period expired - on 27th March 2017 -  some work was done and the Council was notified by the company that construction had begun.  It is not clear if that is simply a holding move to ensure the planning permission remains live - or whether there will be serious building starting in the foreseeable future.
