Work to begin on drainage problem at Double Hedges

For some time there has been an accumulation of water at the part of Double Hedges playing fields at the rear of Braidburn Court - that is in Liberton Road at the foot of Liberton Brae.

Council engineers have been unable to identify any burst pipe or underground stream which may be causing the waterlogging and the location has been a wet point for years.

A solution will be attempted in the next few weeks by installing gravel drains to try and deal with the issue.

Blogged for the information of local residents.
