Signing off

The electorate has spoken.

It is time for this blog to close as I am no longer councillor for Southside & Newington

I note there have been over 4250 posts in the last 15 years - almost all snippets of local news and information coming across my desk as a councillor and for the information of local people.  With over 1.2 million page views it has not been heavily trafficked, but each post has been tweeted for the information of 1,000 or soTwitter followers.

The blog will stay live but inactive for a suitable period and will then be removed.

It has been pleasure and privilege to serve as local councillor.  Best wishes to the current councillors.

So sorry that Southside Newington has lost two great community focused Councillors Both you and Alison were great supporters of community resource in the Southside and will be sorely missed.

I am pleased that we have reduced the number of Conservatives in government but I will say that you have largely played fair with this blog and, in general, used it for informational purposes. Kudos for that.
